Infographic - Social Media Connections Drive Consumer Purchases

This is a great infographic I lifted from DIYSEO, as noted.  I could not pass up sharing it with local small business owners. Outlined are some great trends for small businesses seeking results from investment in social media.  As you will read while you navigate the graphic, connections with companies on social media have a great impact on consumer behavior when it comes to purchasing decisions.  See how these decisions are effected in this great infographic.

There has been a lot of debate whether time spent with social media outlets, such as Facebook and Twitter, will help drive more customers for small business.  44% of small companies have had successful use of social networks for customer acquisitions, according to a July 2010 Regus study.  Many small businesses, such as St. Pete Brasserie, participate in the rising popularity of social networks to bring in those hard-to-find customers.  St. Pete Brasserie used Facebook and Twitter to grow sales by 40%, and in doing so saved its restaurant.  Here is how it works:
